Data Entry/Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a part-time data entry/administrative assistant to work 5 to 10 hours per week in our South Arlington office. This is an hourly position with no benefits.

You will…

  • Complete data entry of program applications.
  • Enter contact data into Giftworks and Constant Contact.
  • Send donor acknowledgement letters.
  • Perform administrative duties as needed.

We’re looking for someone with …

  • Accurate typing skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.

Bonus points for …

  • Interest and/or experience with community nonprofits.
  • Background or interest in environmental issues.
  • Familiarity with Giftworks and/or Constant Contact.

Energy Masters Program Coordinator

We are seeking a part-time program coordinator  from June 2017 through June 2018  averaging 50 hours a month. There is a possibility of extension if funding becomes available. The coordinator will be hired as a contractor.  The Energy Masters program coordinator will work closely with staff at Arlingtonians for a Clean Environment and Virginia Cooperative Extension as well as volunteers and partners to coordinate key activities for execution of the Energy Masters Program.

You will…

  • Assist with the marketing and promotion of the training program.
  • Participate in the site visit and site selection for work days..
  • Interview potential volunteer candidates for the program and following up with applicants about the outcome.
  • Organize the training sessions.
  • Maintain inventory of all program supplies.
  • Organize and facilitate work days including working with housing partners.
  • Compile program results and draft reports to be shared with housing partners and program partners.
  • Coordinate community outreach and education events.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

  • Solid supervisory and leadership skills and enjoy working with diverse populations.
  • The ability to thrive on logistical challenges.
  • Experience juggling competing priorities and demands.
  • The ability to diplomatically address problems and issues using sound judgment.
  • Stong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience, strong interest, and/or skills in energy and water conservation and environmental education and outreach.
  • Experience working with volunteers.

Internship – Outreach and Administrative Assistant

We are seeking an intern to assist with outreach and administration. The position will be from September through December for 15 to 25 hours a week. A stipend is available. We are also able to provide college credit.

Please note that we hire three interns a year: winter, summer, and fall. If you are interested in working for a future time period, please let us know.

  • Coordinate logistics for school and community presentations.
  • Organize ACE presence at community events.
  • Recruit and coordinate volunteers to help with outreach.
  • Deliver presentations to school and community groups.
  • Summarize accomplishments in reports.
  • Assist with administrative tasks including data entry, mailings, and research.

We’re looking for someone with …

  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Experience working with kids.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Willingness to be flexible and to adapt to the changing needs of a growing organization.
  • Demonstrated commitment to renewable energy and environmental protection.
  • Willingness to travel to ACE’s office and various schools in Arlington.
  • Availability to work on weekends and evenings.
