A post-Thanksgiving reception spotlighting the work of Arlington photographer John Robinette will benefit local environmental efforts. "Exploring Arlington Outdooors" is both the title of the reception and the Year 2001 Calendar featuring Robinette's work, which is being distributed by Arlingtonians for a Clean Environment. Guests viewing the work of Robinette and other local artists will enjoy wine and refreshments, as well as the music of hammer dulcimer virtuoso Jody Marshall at the Ellipse Arts Center in Ballston. Cost of the reception is $15 per person; members of the working press are invited free of charge. Arlingtonians for a Clean Environment (ACE) is a nonprofit educational and service organization funded primarily by the Arlington County Department of Environmental Services. Proceeds from the sale of the calendar will benefit stream protection programs of ACE and other local organizations. The award-winning Year 2000 ACE calendar also featured Robinette's photographs, and was highlighted by area television and newspaper profiles.
