ODDS BODKIN RETURNS
FOR ENGAGEMENT IN ARLINGTON

Arlington, VA - Entertainer Odds Bodkin, a native of Alexandria, returns to Northern Virginia for a performance on April 8. Part singer, part character actor, part storyteller, Bodkin entertains adults and children alike with musical artistry. He has entertained at the White House, in festivals around the country, and he will be at the Lincoln Center's Summer Institute 2000 later this year. Bodkin will appear at Williamsburg Middle School on Saturday, April 8 beginning at 7 p.m. He will also host a workshop for adults at Potomac Overlook Park that same day from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. His visit is being hosted by Arlingtonians for a Clean Environment, the Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority, and Arlington Public Schools.
"We are honored to have Odds Bodkin here in Arlington," said Martin Ogle, chair of the board of ACE. "Not only is he a terrific entertainer, he does a great job of expanding our horizons with his use of voices and stories from native cultures." Bodkin has been honored with the Parents' Choice Gold Award and the Indie Award for Best Children's Storytelling. His latest children's book, The Ghost of the Southern Belle was chosen a Children's Book-of-the Month Club selection.
