Why Act?

We have become a coffee-addicted society. Coffee shops are everywhere selling all sorts of java concoctions in paper cups with cardboard insulators. Paper cups require the harvest of trees and the processing of paper, which requires chemicals and energy. Once you are done drinking your coffee, the paper cup becomes trash. Using a ceramic or insulated coffee mug helps save trees and reduces solid waste. Many coffee shops even give you a discount if you bring your own mug!
