Green Living Home and Garden Tour
Sunday, June 5, 2011 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Tour local green homes and environmentally-friendly gardens! Talk with local residents about their experiences greening their homes and making their yards more watershed-friendly. Pick up resources with ideas for your own yard and home.

Select between a self-guided tour where you enjoy each garden at your own pace or a guided cycling tour where you ride as a group from stop to stop. Complete tour guides for each option are below.

Self-guided Option: A $5 donation is suggested for the self-guided tour to benefit Arlingtonians for a Clean Environment. Make your donation online by clicking on the Buy Now button below (credit card or PayPal) or donate by cash or check at the first site you visit.

Download the tour guide. Last updated on May 15.

Riders must bring their own bikes and safety gear. Meet at the Arlington Oaks Condominium's Community Center located at 4490 N. Pershing Drive for registration, check-in, and viewing of the first green garden stop on the tour between 12:00-12:30 p.m. Groups ride out between 12:30-12:45 depending on route seleted at check-in. There will be three comprehensive routes to choose from - each include: green homes, green gardens, and homes for sale that are conducive to commuting to work by bike. The southern route will include a quick stop at Perry Hall Condos, a current Habitat for Humanity project.
